New private home sales almost double in May

New launches sales increase almost double in May as compared to April exclude Executive condos, data from Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA). If include executive condos (ECs), the total units transacted increase to 1,528 units.

The increase in units transacted could be due to the launches by most developers before the start of June holiday where most people go holiday as well as before the start of World Cup.

Most of the units transacted are on the mass market that contributed about 64% of the total sales. The best seller in May was Coco Palms @ Pasir Ris grove by CDL that sold 590 units with an average of $1,018psf. Some of the other best seller include The Panorama who relaunched at a lower price and also Commonwealth Tower.
